Koman Concept School [KCS] considers this an appropriate time to start an Alumni Association. There are distinctions for the female and male former students: `alumna` and `alumnus` while `alumni` is for all. The concept of having an Alumni Association is old, global and tested. It stems from the link to alma mater – a school, college, or university which one has attended or from which one has graduated. To graduate is `to pass from one stage of experience, proficiency, or prestige to a usually higher one`.

KCS wishes to harness the potential of talented students who have and are in the process of leaving the institution in search of higher education and better prospects. One of the main purposes of alumni association is `to support a network of former graduates who will, in turn, help to raise the profile of the institution`. It aims to bring together like-minded individuals.

For the present, the proposed alumni association is to provide the students, teachers and the staff `networking, interacting and staying in touch with each other – the Alma mater connect. While the alumni association at the anvil intends to provide a `connect` with each other for purposes of career prospects and participation in school events, alumni networks at advanced levels offer students, colleges and universities a host of benefits like job hunts, business deals and funding prospects.

With this in mind, KCS proposes to address the former and present students to join the `Alumni Association` and make it a viable endeavour.
